I clearly wrote "hidden". So all my points are still valid, you can't see them after your subscription is finished, you can't compare them with your folks, you can't check your progression anymore, your play time etc.
I also wrote about knowing that buying a game will bring the stats back, but...
Say you have finished a game while being subscribed and you have no will to play it anymore, but you just want to compare your achievements with your friend? Buy the whole game to do so. How lame is that?
To only view your achievements and stats you need to pay for the game again or re-subscribe. The design of this service is super ridiculous to me and I wish I knew it before I signed in. Thankfully only for one month.
Leaving this here for others to know before they make their decision as this is not explained anywhere on EA Play page.
Maybe they'll change it in the future, so we don't have to buy an EA game to see our stats/playtime, but it would seem unfortunately pretty low on a list of priorities...
Yeah, they probably won't. That means I won't use it again. It's pointless to me.
I would accept even the depleted library that's mostly limited to old titles, vs what they offer on Origin, but buying it on Steam to have Steam functionality removed after is completely pointless in my view.
It might work for some but not for me. If I wanted to keep stats on Origin I'd have bought it over there in the first place. At least the list of games included is bigger there.
Buying it here on Steam, at least for me, means I'd like to use steam functionality including stats, progress tracking and access to my game data.
Since this is not included, I won't be renewing the service.
The only good thing about this service is you can test some games for cheap and buy them to keep your stats and play in your spare time later, if you're happy with them.
I just yesterday completed Titanfall 2 and unlocked every achievement. My subscription expires on March 9 so will see what will happen after that. If that what you posted here is true I surely won't aim for the achievements in other EA games through EA Play.
So this was a chance to play all those games that I wanted for 0,79€ only.
This service is completely pointless to me in its current shape.
Hope this topic will be useful for others.
After all, this was a good decision to buy it for 0,79€, play the games I wanted to try and simply move one. No point on using this service for more than a month.
Thank you for your confirmation!
Decent idea from EA too. .......But.......with their companies history - I just can't bring myself to give them any money.....ever.
well, that sucks
The first month is kinda cheap here for me so i give it a go,does my inventory in bf1 and titanfall gone too when i ending the service? Im planning to both of it when the sale come.
