Leather ** (2 stars) and *** (3 stars)

Hi,

How can I reliably get leather ** and ***? The only reliable leather I was able to get is * (1 star) from hunting.
Very rarely I can get leather ** from traders, but it's so rare that I can barely have enough to repair some rucksacks, NEVER enough.

So leather cannot be obtained if you role-play as conqueror, only when you're a diplomat ... damn

you can get 3 star leather by recycling rifles and baseball bats, but you need to find advanced recycler recipe. If you don't have many of them you can send your team to work at any facility where you'll get many random encounters with other survivors, getting 5-6 rifles in half an hour is not a problem

no, leather, rifles give you 3 units, bats 2, but you need improved recycler, the blue one

you don't really need leather anyway, tier 4 bags are not worth it, they only give you additional 20 pounds but break down very fast just like an other backpack. As for vests you can probably craft a few after some time, considering how easy all the fights are with 3 hit combo from agility tree, you don't really need them too, tier 3 vests are just as good

I just unlocked tier 4 buildings and now I see I need around 12 leather lvl 3 for building upgrades alone (I have only 2 leather lvl 3) ...
I have not built the Heavy Punch Bag (tier 3 building) yet due to lack of leather lvl 2 ...

I guess I'll just look for some savegame editors and add in manually some leather lvl 2 and lvl 3 as I started to lose my patience with this ... :'((
I hope they'll revisit the process of obtaining leather lvl 2 and lvl 3. Now it is as rare as the hinges in the first game
