Entire Examtaker set is mostly about finding the pattern and memorizing it....
Difficulty Spikes, Lasers, and Missiles :
This DLC Boss is substantially hard with never-before seen mechanics of spike waves and missile salvos. This could've been forgiven if these were introduced in earlier puzzles like the lasers, but unfortunately This DLC Boss will only give you 2 introductory phases to these mechanics and such "think fast" style of boss design leads to long, painful amounts of trial and error. This boss is much more a test of endurance and pattern recognition than speed and reaction.
Color Confusion:
This particular boss has three types of attacks all three the same bright white color. not a problem when facing each attack separate but this boss can and will mix them together. This all creates a hot white barrage of monochrome nonsense that you can not immediately recognize with the half-seconds you have to react to them. Again, forcing the player to memorize the attack pattern and then die die again.
I understand the creator's desire to make sure the new fancy DLC boss isn't too easy, but at the same time, its design should not be too hard either, at least compared to the base game.
Lol it is a pretty garbled mess to look at. Was definitely not worth me wasting hours to beat it...skipped for sanity.
Is it really?
This particular example is not even that hard; you people will complain about anything. Someone could offer you the elixir to eternal life and you would whine that it's inconvenient to drink it. Pattern recognition -> reward is one of the easiest ways to mine fun from videogaming; I suggest you learn how to mine it instead of complaining about effort.
For those of you complaining about not being able to see the pattern, well they do say that pattern recognition is one of the clearest signs of intelligence so I guess us battletaker chads are just big brained nagas hue hue hue
