The game itself is fantastic, and the digital implementation is really well done - if you want to play solo against AI then you are in luck, however as many before me have said the online play is simply broken.

My wife and I love the board game but don't get it to the table enough so I foolishly decided to ignore previous reviews and purchase it for both of us, reasoning that it couldn't be that bad, especially as we'd be playing on the same network. Oh how wrong I was.

The 2.9 hour play time I have logged is for one 2 player game. It took this long because we had to constantly exit and re-enter the game to have any hope of ending our turn or progressing from our opponents, and I encountered 4 instances where I had to restart entirely due to an unknown error. Even the bug reporting crashed when I tried to vent this frustration midplay. The only online element that seemed to consistently work was the repeated emailing telling me it was my turn, which came to feel like the game was mocking my inability to actually play it.

The worst part for us is that we really loved the way the game has been adapted for digital, and but for this one enormous glaring issue this would certainly see a lot of play for us. The optimist in me hopes this will one day be fixed, but given the long history of reviews citing this issue I won't hold my breath. Back to TTS it is.
