Character builds
So, I saw that there were some rebalancing patches, but most content I could find regarding character builds was back from release.
I'm a person who likes playing somewhat optimized characters, so I want to know what are some of the most effective/fun builds to use.

I am personally rather enjoying Hex(Night)blade on brutal difficulty (not liberation mode), despite it being denounced as the "weakest" class. I went hard into Nephilim with a smattering of Combat (11 points early for the bleed on abilities / attacks). You can send Avyanna in, use Eclipse to Confuse/Blind/Bleed/Poison everything within two tiles, then Twilight Pulse procs to deal another massive dose of damage. Once you get three AP you can even follow-up with a paralyze (burn/bleed/poison) in addition! Makes a great sniping build for "Defeat XX" over the "Defeat All Enemies"

Once you get deeper into Act III you start to get the Tier III and Tier IV spells, which, honestly, with twincast kind of render that stuff a bit moot. So, endgame still belongs to the mages - you can even flesh out a lot of the Nephilim tree while maxing out the Magic one, is pretty brutal, to be honest.

Disclaimer: I do have the Deluxe Edition which has 5 additional skill points - just realized that after typing this up~

Well, I started using Witch from level 15, swapped back and forth between all the classes, found that at low level (below 20) any class works, but Seer probably was best due to the regen aura 2 tiles around Avyanna, which is a pretty big area. But I didn't start with Plains, in fact I made that region my last region just for kicks. So once I got Corrisandre, I switched Avyanna back to Witch, and she slays even at level 20.

I just had to learn that magic spells don't crit... the lack of info in this game can sometimes be annoying.

I used Warlord and Avyanna was amazing at getting enemies to stay away from the squishies in the team. When I tried Hexblade, Avyanna was able to snipe down enemies easily. However, to fully use her potential, I think I would need the Cloak of Shadows spell, but sadly I can't figure out where to get that blueprint. I had it in my last playthrough (it was my test run so I deleted it), can't remember which side quest gave me that blueprint as a reward.

If she has that spell, then she's basically Orion (or Sharlea) on steriods, since I can stack crit chance on her to max (75%) for crazy backstab damage.
