Kalypso Media is Scamming their Customers.
Lets start with my Situation.
I have been playing some of Kalypso Medias games over the years.
However 2 weeks ago i recieved a letter from a lawyer acting in their name (Nimrod).
They claimed that i illegaly up- and dowloaded "Disciples: Liberation".
I did not know this game before looking it up after recieving the letter and i have not done anything with it.
They did not accuse me of it, they claimed that it was a fact and wrote about a 2500€ damage to their sales, but made a "generous" offer with an 800€ out of court settlement duo within 6 days after recieving the letter.

After doing some research online it turns out that they have been doing this for about 10 years. If anyone here does not believe me, you can find a lot of cases online.

I think it is an extremely predatory practise, high fine with very little time to react.

I have settled things with my lawyer, but it was a waste of money and very stressfull.

I will never buy anything from This company again. This is not a way they should be treating Customers.

I wish nothing but the worst to Kalypso Media.

And you would think after 10 years it would take a toll on their sales. I dont know how they are still around.

lol, this is a known scam, i've gotten lots of emails like that accusing me of pirating their movies and games and asking me for money

it has nothing to do with the actual companies

if this had nothing to do with them, they would have taken lega action by now.
its either them, or they dont care and both options shine a bad light on them.

Its their name on the Legal document, so they are the ones im mad at.

Fine by me, but i will keep telling everyone i know to never buy their games.
Lack of care for the people buying your games is not a great thing to do.
Customers are all they have.

im not saying that it will make them notice it, but i will do it out of spite.
There is also nothing worse than doing nothing and expecting things to change.

Dont worry about that, i can help you, im a lawyer specializing in these predatory actions of Kalypso Media. For the modest amount of $400 i can reverse the case and they will have to pay you $2000 in damages.

Ok sarcasm off

This should be marked as the response to your "problem".
Sandakin Mar 18, 2022 @ 10:02pm
its someone posing as kalypso, not them lol.

OP this 100% a phishing scam, never ever for any reason make any reply to the message or demand let alone pay any money as you will certainly never see it again, delete the message or demand immediately. If you want to be online for any reason you should go and get yourself educated and i say this to help you.
