the most over-powered builds possible *CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS*
*DON'T READ THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR MIND TO BE CORRUPTED BY THE MOST POWERFUL BUILDS, IF YOU ENJOY JUST BEING A NEWBIE AND HAVING A GOOD OLE' FASHION CHALLENGE*

1. the dusk-witch, you double cast a tier 4 spell, such as fear of the dark, this spell targets every possible enemy on the battlefield regardless of their distance from you, you stack as much power and crit as you possibly can, you stack as much initiative as you possibly can so you move first before the monsters in any battle = you wipe any amount of monsters on the screen in under 10 seconds, unless they are vastly higher level than you have major hit-points, then you wipe them in a couple of rounds, providing that you don't die on the first round.

2. the warlord, you cap nephilim get the twilight pulse, then you grab burning, leech, bleeding, and taunt. they synergize with the twilight pulse, you run up to any group, you burst your AOE 2nd skill, then you get a 2nd burst of aoe from the twilight pulse and you heal up any damage you previously took. you can basically stand there, let them come to you, and just auto-beat them. but you need to stack enough physical resist and hit-points and minor inconvenience immunities to get the most out of it. you might want to sidelines a war-priestess so you get +50% heal rate.

i admit i've been using this 2nd build in liberation mode, since i'm not at tier 4 yet, and i'm having no problem soloing any encounter with no companions and no hired units, just avyanna and her overpowered build.

i don't mind being overpowered, nothing wrong with that. but there should be increased challenge to meet this. if i'm overpowered i need the majority of the opponents to be 10 levels higher than me. if i'm in liberation mode and i have 10 companions at once, i need the opponents to be 15 levels higher for any kind of respectable challenge.

i really like this game having a good time with it. its a pleasure to watch these beautifully rendered units fight it out, but i need the game to be more challenging if its going to hold my attention for months to come.

aside from the over-powered builds that you can get combining the warlord taunt and the nephilim twilight pulse, there needs to be more tech tree options. there are not enough choices to really make the character build unique. so few choices lead to the same builds with hardly any variance. i hope this gets addressed ASAP

And here I thought Twilight Seer, doublecast and Eclipse was mighty OP already :D Where can I find Fear in the Dark?

eclipse is pretty decent, i have to admit that, but its not super elite like Fear of the Dark. eclipse does a radius 2 centered around your caster, fear of dark is board-wide. sadly i forgot where i found this spell, its an end-game spell. there is one other alternative end-game spell that does holy damage and unholy damage both to everything board-wide and it heals your team too, all in one.. but i forgot what the name of it was. its tier 4.

Fear of the dark once unlocked, I never looked back. Seeress alternative class also works if you are going for this spell. Ignoring resistances is a good alternative to the increased AoE damage if you are able to slot someone in the backline for unholy might.

ya, ignore resistance and bonus AOE damage is a must-have, you can build the tier 4 lich building and get a +10% unholy damage

I'm very new to the game, when you say grab burning, leech, bleeding and taunt. What do you mean? I can't find those as skills or spells.

I know... as I just switched from the dual cast witch to warlord... and haven't finished the game yet. Accurately, I though it was a tier 3 unholy spell.
I suppose I would come back when there's more difficulty choices probably restart a new game.

There're lots of way to do this. Warlord has burning, leech, bleeding and taunt in her skill tree.
But the issue accurately was the warlord's not killable to the enemies.

there are items in the tech tree of warlord,
Flaming Burst Weapon, avyannas abilities inflict burning,
Vampiric Might, avyannas abilities inflict bleeding
Taunting Strike, avyannas abilities inflict taunting

There is no need for "builds". You can almost fully max 2 trees

I'm more interested in an Avyanna solo mode. Where they give the MC more AP, health and damage, but prevent you from using companions, units, and backline entirely.

Endgame is pretty much Avyanna solo with fear the dark at this point anyways.

Playing ayvanna and nothing else. No Orion, no companions, and no units.
