A lot of odd design choices
No healing outside combat without healing fountains. Logically it doesnt make any sense. Just an odd choice, very odd.

Another big one is how main character progression works. A lot of the skill trees and choices are useless if you dont unlock the right skill blueprints. I dont know if blueprints are random or what, but it just feels bad to play like this. I keep finding all kinds of random blueprints that are just useless to me and not what I want to do. It feels bad.

I have 4 unused skill points and almost nowhere to put them because everything is gated behind something on the skill tree. Lot of inconsequential fluff on the skill tree too.

Trying to be too cute and reinvent the wheel, when the wheel wouldve been just fine.. with classical RPG progression, none of this blueprint stupidity.

Resource gain straight out of mobile game territory, with its slowly filling bars. No idea who thought this was good idea.

Just a lot off odd design choices in this game imo.

The mechanics in this game is a total clusterf&@k frankly. The devs should've simply updated Disciples 3 system (the Reincarnation version).

there are no skill blueprints in this game. Spells have blueprints and are unlocked with resources and progression into the game?
If you don't know where to put points just put them into nephlim tree.
Or you know read description.... if that isn't too hard.

it most certainly does. I am still on the fence about this one. i can't figure out if this game is just gonna add to my depression in irl lol.

Yeah, the entire resource system is completely pointless and out-of-place in this game.

It's a waiting game in a game that has no time-sensitive content at all. So all the resources are simply infinite, the only thing needed is IRL time.

And using "irl time" as a resource is terrible game design, for me. This is idle mobile game territory.

Agreed.

The skill tree makes no sense to me so far. Almost every skill node is just an unlock to something else. I barely see any actual skills that are useful. I haven't spent too much time in the skill tree yet, only level 4, but it's pretty confusing and unintuitive.

I wish there was some place to read about how to use this skill tree effectively.

Yes there is a place to read on how to use skill tree, it's the skill tree read the skill descriptions.
Here's a cheat code.
You put points in one tree bravo, you did it! Maximum efficiency reached, Confusion cleared out!

Thanks Cypeq. That's two times in this same thread that you have responded with a condescending and sarcastic comment. Way to go. :UnhappyMask:

Without giving too much away, the skill trees shortly become more relevant as you progress and you have a quest outcome where you have to make a decision what sort of character you want Avyanna is to be.
In the early part of the game Avyanna is basically a jack of all trades. Don't be too concerned how you allocate skill points early. They won't be wasted. ;)

EDIT:
There is a thread here that goes into more detail about the skill system.

Note in your skill tree that some requirements are in red. Some of them refer to the specific class you decided upon when you chose what character Avtanna is to be.

Usually I just leave one useless enemy alive and skip turn to heal to max before ending the battle when there is no fountain nearby.

:steammocking: It's also how Empire played in disciple 2 and 3.
Get an T2 elven Arctic Dryad (not sure the exact name) on backline, your army would get passive regeneration, which would be enough for most of the fights.

Sorry for the tone, but I stand by the message.

Currently I like it as it is, but admittedly the choices they made do not benefit the longevity of the game. There's a lot of room for improvement. So far we know that the devs keep an eye on the forum and we don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but if they heed the community as they claim they do and invest a bit more into the game, the diamond can become a true diamond ^^
