What? Virus detected? You should delete it immediately, I mean the virus software.

There is no virus in this demo or any content on steam, it's a false positive so either whitelist it in your anti virus or get a better anti virus.

There is a possibility that you have an infection which is infecting perfectly legitimate software/files.

Since the update the full game is doing the same thing to my anti virus software.

I am having the same problem. Bought the game yesterday, tried to launch it today, had McAfee quarantine the game's .exe. Verifying the installation via Steam and re-downloading the .exe only lead to it being quarantined again. From within McAfee, the quarantined file also cannot be restored. Any solution to this?

You put steam as an exception and you'll never have an issue.

I would appreciate a more precise explanation of this, please. What exactly should I do in McAfee? Thank you in advance.

I have never used Mcafee myself but all you do instead of placing an individual game from being scanned by your anti virus and prevent it from being quarantined you simply place steam there instead so it won't scan any games, save yourself from those false positives.

Thank you. I have figured it out. In case this helps anyone, there are three files that need to be added to the exception list in your antivirus: disciples_liberation.exe; kalypsolauncher.exe; launcherdiscipleliberation.exe. Just adding disciples_liberation.exe to the exception list will still lead to at least one of the other two files being quarantined, at least in McAfee. With all three files in the exception list, the game runs just fine, at least for me.

Technically Speaking we shouldn't have to do this. Even after awhile you put anything in Exceptions for McAfee once the game or any other program you use that triggers a false positive will eventually throw those false positives again due to being updated.

So yeah if it was from this recent Hotfix Update they need to fix it asap.
