There is a lot of healing indeed, maybe too much and I have doubts about the balance of some units (within tier 1, because I have only played the demo so far)
The interface could be more refined - I'm used to the fact that I can play this type of game with the mouse only, it is not convenient to force "ESC" to leave the screen. The minimap would also be a nice add.
The disciples series have always had a bit of a gothic, quirky charm about it, and it seems this has that too, so I'm happy.
The game format is the same thiough.
Yep thats how it was sold by the conclave of the all knowing journos back in the day. I think it had a second part that also flopped but dont quote me on that
Might as well be best game implementation of dark eye. Tactical depth and challenge is surely win for Blackguards. Disciples liberation actually wins on story telling, and true RPG elements. For RPG's hex grid is just one of the means to get combat done, it's not genre defining feature. Disciples fits into classic RPG genre unlike pure TTB games eg. xcom.
I may still pick it up, but probably not at release.
