Wow. Not bad for a demo.
By the way, I've played about 15 mins or more now, and there seems to be no zone of control mechanism, correct?
I mean, a unit should not be able to walk past an enemy's adjacent zone without getting attacked. This is a standard mechanic in most turn-based combat games.
Considering flanking is only diagonal makes sense.
Well at least it's different, there's some value in that.
It makes no sense; what was the rationale behind the design choice - do you know?
It's not just DD; it's the norm now for most turn-based games to use it. Also, from just a normal balance and real-life/common sense perspective, it makes sense.
Disciples 3 was a game? which disciples 3? the disciples 3.1 the 3.2 the 3.3 which one?
Rumours say one day a disciples 3 super saiyan will come up and beat all these other bad disciples 3 games :-(
Lacking of it was not a big issue to me, due to action queue system and the high health of units. So getting a flanking attack usually wouldn't be enough to kill the target before other enemies have the chance to flank the flanking unit. It's still pretty risky to bypass frontline for a flanking attack.
Other than that, it's not hard to block the chargers with units and obstacle due to the size of the combat map.
