you could use Mixamo's freee library of 3D animations to cut some time out of developing the moveset. and yeah i understand that this game's retro look isn't all that friendly to newer more modern looking models but hey. i don't mind it as long as i ca play as characters i like
also stage mods must be easy as hell to make. just make a nicely textured box and your done
I am not 100% sure whether Mixamo animations are compatible with the in-game skeleton. Replacing the skeleton with another one is a huge can of worms that I would prefer not to open. This leaves the standard mod kit dummy man skeleton, with animations that need to be exported in a 24fps format to .x plain-text mesh file, which might or might not be a huge PITA. But I kind of agree on stages, though.
