Will it be possible to use a real transmitter with this? Like the same hardware used for Phoenix RC etc...?

Looking at their website now and I'm not surprised there has been no reply. Great potential customer service !!

Sorry guys, I missed that!
The game is only for VR devices and VR controls.

For those looking for a new experience in VR, this title is great!
But for those looking to use a real transmitter, sorry.. maybe in the future!

deffo with funkfarm on this, had that Pheonix been VR my Spectrum would not be somewhere full of dust now! I might still pick this up! But would have deffo had it had external hardware/controller support.. Though I do appreciate at least use put in support for VR controllers and not just damn xbox controller or so... This title really would have potential to be huge as a VR simulator, as my last attempts at 3D with my Blade Nano rendered the poor thing an ornament for display why I need a VR simulator :)

I just purchased this game. Really hoping for PPM controller input support, would love to use my old Walkera controller for practising single rotor RC flights.

You probably could use it if u remap all the buttons? But yah first thing i did is check if i can hook up my transmitter. Not really worth it otherwise.
With that extra bit of realism it is propperly a rc flight sim.

Maybe in the future? It seems this has been made by people who don't actually use RC planes, VR controls or xbox pads etc.. are awful. Both for precision and the throttle will either never be at 0 or you have lost half the range of that stick. Did you think this through ?

Hi funkfarm,

our main idea with RC Flight Simulator 2020 VR is to bring an amazing VR experience for such players as your self, that love to fly RC planes in the real world and would love to fly then at home!

I have a few years of experience flying RC planes and building them. It is a hobby that we took seriously to bring to VR! But of course, you are going to find differences.

But give it a try! I think you will not regret it!

I don't mean to sound offensive, but why not use proper controls as an option? There are many people who have learned to fly on simulators and subsequently progressed effortlessly to the real thing. I've got nearly 30 years of muscle memory with a transmitter, that's wasted when using controls. If i wanted a more senior person to use this, it would be much simpler if the only difference to them is having a headset on, everything else the same.

How does your throttle work? You didn't answer in your reply, thanks!
brunoasdfgh  [developer] May 12, 2020 @ 7:44am
Sure! You are right about that. You will never sound offensive! We love everyone's comments, especially to change ASAP what is very wrong with our game! That was made for you, not for us!

The throttle works like an acceleration lever.
- Pushing UP will increase throttle constantly until it reaches MAX.
- Pushing DOWN will decrease throttle constantly until it reaches a 0.
- Releasing throttle will keep the throttle at the current value.

The % of the movement of the throttle axis will change the speed of Up/Down sum.

You can change the throttle increasing/decreasing speed also in "Configuration". Just increasing "Sensitivity".

So, it is easy to stop throttle at the percent you want. But again, it is not like real transmitted, that you keep the value at the throttle position.

But with all other inputs works like in the real RC transmitter. Pitch, Roll, and Yaw works the same, but the throttle works like that.

It is to weird to implant 0 to max starting for the center of joystick lever right? Your muscular memory would also be disappointed with that. But that we can do!

There is an xbox 360 controller emulator, xoutput. May be can be used with RC controller if the game supports xbox controller.

I saw this game and thought: alright! finally I can use my cheap USB RC transmitter again and now it's even more realistic than ever because it's in VR (which means in 3D).

What I want in VR is to simulate what you would do in real life. If you're racing, you use a wheel, if you're flying a plane, you use a joystick and If you're flying a RC plane you want your rc transmitter! Why would you NOT implement that? Sad.

I will buy once I can use the USB RC transmitter!

No controls on Mixed Reality

Don't expect a reply, this guy has spent more time on Real Girl VR than his own game. I now understand why people set their account to private.
