Error during boss fight
I'm getting Loading errors in the fight with RJ-37 after being introduced to Cerebro. It started with the ZX.png error but is now giving the Arrows.png one. I've repaired my game files and restarted my computer.

Loading Error
Failed to load: ./img/SumRndmDde/tas/ZX.png

I'm getting the exact same bug! No matter how many times I repair/reboot/restart the game it pops back up :(

Sorry for this bug.
I added a hotfix. Just update the game and it will work fine.
Sincerely,
Bone Collectors.

Hi! Thanks for the quick response! I just updated the game and I still get the same error =/ as soon as the fight starts I get either
Loading Error
Failed to load: ./img/SumRndmDde/tas/ZX.png
or
Loading Error
Failed to load: ./img/SumRndmDde/tas/Arrows.png

I'll try uninstalling/reinstalling but it didn't change anything last time. I get the same bug on Epic as well as Steam. It's weird because I can do as many overworld fight as I want without any issue but this particular boss fight seems to be really broken sadly.

EDIT : Uninstall/reinstall did not fix it and I managed to struggle my way through the fight by clicking on "retry" every 5 secs but even when I defeat the boss, all I get is a black screen with the errors popping up one after the others. It seems that all the ".png" files in the "tas" folder are nonexistent and cannot be loaded by the game thus giving the issue. I'll sadly have to wait for this to be fixed as the game is currently unplayable for me on both platforms :(

Thank you for the quick response. I am also still receiving the error after updating and a repair.

Hi! How weird. I tested it again right now (on both systems) and I got no errors.

Are you playing it on a Windows or a Linux system? SteamDeck counts as Linux.

Double-check if you are on game version 1.3.6.4.2 on Steam or v.1.3.6.12 on Epic.

I'm running Windows 11 and bought the game through Steam.

Sorry, I'm not seeing a version number matching that format.

I'm not seeing a way to look at the version number in-game. Under Properties > Updates in Steam it's showing as App ID: 1287540 Build ID: 15112919. If I look at DinoHazard.exe's properties in Windows it shows 0.49.2. Is there a specific spot where I can find it in that format on my side?

Hi again! FYI, I tested it on both SteamDeck (via Heroic Launcher for epic) and my pc. Oddly enough, when I check the version in epic, it shows 1.3.6.12

But during gameplay my window shows 1.3.6.4.1

And I sadly still get the bug =/

Note that this current test is done on my PC directly, tho last night the issue was the same on my SD.

Hi!

Let's cut the problem by the root, then. I created a custom hotfix patch for you.

Just download the .zip below and extract the content to the root of the game folder.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GcpgX2digT-SvOufGxTwopQy0FalTgte/view?usp=sharing

You must override the WWW folder with this new one.

It should work for you both on Epic and Steam versions.

Tell me if it solved your error, now.

Sincerely,
Bone Collectors.

I unzipped at the root of the game folder and selected 'Yes to all' for the overwrite prompt, but I'm still getting the error. I verified that the file(s) exist at the path referenced in the in-game error message https://imgur.com/a/4a9FJRG

I accidentally found the F12 DevTools window when I was trying to take a screenshot. The errors in the Console seem to be referencing the files having extension .rpgmvp, which doesn't match the error message showing in-game. I'm like 95% sure that before the first hotfix the files in that directory were .rpgmvp.

First off, I'd like to say that I'm really grateful that you take the time to troubleshoot this with us, really awesome on you part! Thanks!

But sadly, like Das, the hotfix hasn't changed anything. I did a clean reinstall and now, I see the .png files ( I even copy-pasted your folder which has the same files, just to be safe) but not the .rpgmvp files and the console seems to say it isn't detecting them.

My guess is, if we had an installation folder that had both the .png AND the .rpgmvp files, it would work. But a clean install doesn't provide that and I'm not 100% certain its the answer to the problem either.

The only other thing I haven't tried at this point is just straight up starting a new save file (since the fight is at the beginning). But I highly doubt it's going to fix this issue.

It is weird that I and other players are not experiencing this issue.

I will update the Steam game with patch v.1.3.6.5. If you all confirm that the patch worked for this error, I will also update the Epic version.

Would you please give me this feedback?

Hi! Can confirm that this patch plus a uninstall/reinstall fixed the issue on PC! was able to get through the boss and the following cutscene without any issue and I can now keep playing! yay! I refunded the Epic version so I won't be able to test it but I'm assuming it will work as well! Thanks again for all your hard work and taking the time to help troubleshoot the issue. Can't wait to play the rest of your game! :)

Cheers!
