Also, 144 fps/hz would be causing weird emulation glitches for sure. Even so it feels like this mode is skipping frames even when using a 60fps cap.
GSync would usually work around this problem, but I don't think it'd work for the emulation inside 4 Friends.
Yep. Same experience here. It's not unplayable but it's not enjoyable either.
I usually run 144 hz and I followed the advice to run at 60hz. It's an improvement but it still runs like garbage and the music and gameplay feel off.
I worked for years in an arcade and I know this game well and I consider this to be totally unplayable.
I'd say we're all better off emulating the classic game by other means such as in MAME, as it seems to be disgracefully forced upon us. They didn't do enough quality testing for the Arcade version in 4 Friends. Disappointing.
Thing is, we shouldn't be bothering with workarounds, we should be refunding. It's on them to release a patch.
