Picture this scene: It's the 90s. You're a little kid, and you're watching your big brother/sister/uncle play video games on the computer in the computer room, which smells of stale cigarettes. This is the first time you've seen video games: The images on screen are incomprehensible, both hypnotizing and weirdly terrifying. Good ol' Uncle Sister lets you play for a bit. You have no idea what's going on, or how to play. Heck, maybe you can't even read yet. But the world of the game feels unfathomably deep and mysterious, and you feel a thrill every time you manage to make progress and something new happens. You spend an entire afternoon playing the game with your big bruncle, utterly immersed, and are finally yanked away from the computer by your parents several hours later. The world of the game haunts you for the rest of the evening and as you drift to sleep that night.

This is how this game makes me feel. Like I'm a little kid again, and I'm getting my mind blown by a video game for the very first time.

Much like it's predecessor, Hylics 2 is the videogame. Perhaps, dare I say, the videogame ever made.
