Maybe this will help until an instruction manual has been created.

1. Are controllers supported?
Full controller support & customization has now been implemented.

2. Where do I go?
Proceed left from Wayne’s house until you reach the town. In the town, proceed north then northeast, across the river, up the stairs, across the bridge, until you reach the palace. The man in a fuzzy blue suit will give you the key item enabling air-dashing.
On the world map between the town and Wayne’s house there is a little hill with a platform, pointing north. Air dash from there, and then air dash northeast from the subsequent platform.

3. I can’t jump diagonally…?
This is probably a keyboard rollover issue, i.e., your keyboard may not support the simultaneous keypresses required for certain movements. Try rebinding the movement controls from the arrow keys to WASD.

4. The sidescroller mini-game is hard…?
Open the options menu (Q by default) while in the sidescroller minigame. Set it to easy mode, which stops Wayne from being knocked back when hit.
A "God Mode" has now been added, which grants immunity to all hazards except lava.

5. I lost the airship…?
Once you’ve acquired the airship, it can be re-summoned at the small island north of Wayne’s house. Look for a tower with 4 red tubes.

6. Poolman enemy is too strong…?
The Soul Crisper ability can be used to apply Burning status, which prevents Poolman from multiplying. The ability can be acquired by bringing juice to an NPC at the back of the cave under the town, and using his key to unlock a house in the town.
Wayne’s Dissolution also deals extra damage to Poolman.

7. How do I heal outside of battle?
Use the slap (X by default) on certain "bugs" present throughout the game. These are white/grey creatures that crawl around randomly, often found in groups of 3 to 4. They will explode when slapped, and heal Flesh & Will by 15%.

8. I became trapped in the 3D environment...?
Use the item "Mini Crystal" in your inventory to return to the scene's initial spawn point, or to Wayne's room.

I think you should add a part in the FAQ to remind people to slap bugs, I was dying every second fight until i remembered that you could do that!

Yeah you can not use healing spells and items outside of battle so getting Flesh and Will back from bugs who respawn is needed if you don't wan to wake up in the afterlife to heal after every 2nd fight.

Hi-

Is there a cfg file to turn graphics settings/resolution lower, I cannot find a text file in the game settings and this game lags quite a bit on my laptop.

Nah, it's totally fine with a controller.

I've seen mention in and out of the game that Gestures can be charged but I'm not sure what that means or how to do it.

With the Charged status on you the personal abilities will be enhanced. Shockwave has the added effect in the description, rest you have to test yourself. Foam Armor for example becomes a full party AOE buff instead of single target if casted while Charged.
You can get the spell on the big TV island.

I rebound my keys to WASD now and it works with diagonal movement and jumping.
Unfortunately, I still have problem within a fight that my navigation keys (also when it was mapped to the arrows) are not recognized very often. I need to press any key about 2-3 times until it jumps from target to target. I haven't found anyone else in the forums who has the same problem (or I couldn't find it with the keywords I searched). Is this known to anyone else? It only happens within a fight, otherwise the controls are very solid.

same issue. i remapped to WASD as well, haven't tested with arrow keys. i have to mash left/right to switch enemies, and it feels like some inputs are dropped in menus as well.

Not everyone has a controller that works on a computer.
