Briny Stroke? Help!
- A brief description of the issue:

While playing Multiplayer, my partner and I have unlocked Briny. When returning to the island and starting up his scene, the conversation between everyone seems to be going smoothly until Clarity confronts Briny about how he acquires the items. When he starts his reply with "Um-" the game seems to have a stroke. There are 3 dots above Briny signaling that he is talking, but the words stop appearing in the text and neither of us can continue on. The scene is still in movement, but the words have all but stopped progressing.

- The steps required to recreate the issue:

I wish I knew, because then maybe I could avoid it.

- Any attempts to work around the issue, if applicable:

We have tried to reload this game multiple times to try and work around this but it stops every time at this exact scene. We tried having my partner start the game but then for some reason we cannot get the game to load for me at all when he starts the game after the first play through. Which is most likely another issue that needs reported.

Please help so we can continue playing this game.

Thanks for getting in touch with us - we're sorry to see you're experiencing some issues while playing Ship of Fools.

Regarding the issue you're having with Briny's dialogue, let's try to check your game installation to make sure that there are no corrupted files causing the problem. To do this:
  1. Right-click on the game in your Steam Library
  2. Choose Properties
  3. Switch to the Local Files tab and press Verify integrity of game files...
Can you also please try and repair the Steam Library?
  1. In the top-left corner, click on the Steam menu
  2. From the menu, select Settings
  3. Navigate to the Storage tab on the left sidebar
  4. In the right-hand pane, click the three horizontal dots next to C:\Program Files (X86)\Steam
  5. Select Repair Folder
Please then follow the on-screen instructions and let the library folder be repaired. Then test whether these steps have resolved the issue.

The issue you're having with not being able to load the game - is the game launching but you're not able to join the game?

Can you please confirm if you are both joining the game on the same computer or separate computers via an online connection?
