Achievements not working well in coop

if my friend hosts and i join all achievements work except the (defeat xx monsters)
none of them count, its all set to 0

Regarding multiplayer achievements, you are correct. This is intended behaviour and currently, only the host will earn all achievements. There are some Player 2 can also achieve, but this isn't the case with all - the team is looking into this.

We have spoken to the developers regarding these reports - it seems that the achievement isn't tracking correctly on Steams side and will only currently update on 100 and 1000 kills, but should be accurately tracking in-game - could you confirm if this is the case for you also?

Do you have less than 100 kills? This would result in the achievement progress showing 0. If not, they may need more information to track down your issue.

considering my friend got the one for 1000 kills im guessing this game just sucks

Well pretty much I was playing with Razzle. And the reason he isn't getting it is because it is my session. I have the achievement.

He literally has 0 kills as he would have to host the game for that.

Don't even bother with these, I got to 8500 tracked and it reset to 0 for no reason, I reported and was told to send my savefile which I did and never heard back.. it's been months upon months, I don't think they care, you need to grind and grind and hope it doesn't reset just before you get 10k. Combine this with co-op kills not counting and it's just a giant mess.

i personally decided to use a certain "Method" To obtain the achievements myself if the game did not register them
didnt feel like waiting forever for a fix ...

Yes you responded to the email with a generic "thanks for sharing the savefile we have passed it along" but there has been no further reply giving me a solution to the problem for months.
Considering how grindy the 10k achievement is it absolutely is urgent for you to solve this problem before more people get it randomly reset to 0. Also the fact co-op kills only counts for host even furthers this same issue.

I have said it before an extremely easy fix is to just remove the achievement and you won't even need to think more about this issue, seems like the better option to me if fixing it from resetting and sharing co-op kills takes months or years to solve.
