Does anyone know what reduced magazine speed means? Devs?

I got the Piranha Plushie which says it does 50% reduced magazine speed but I have no idea what that is, it wasn't Lotties perk, projectile speed, magazine capacity.

Wasnt that the trinket that reduces the projectile speed so that the bullets fly slower?

it reduces the speed of the projectiles of cannons you load, in exchange for the other buffs, kind of like shelbie's passive. you need to reload the cannon with it in your inventory to get both the buffs and negative effect

We checked the projectile speed after reloading with and without the trinket and they were both the same.

i used the duplicator pond on those and it definitely slowed the projectile speed

it's to differentiate from just a pure projectile speed debuff for the one holding it, it's not tied to the player, but the cannon, i agree the wording is pretty jank, but it gets the point across, and i have no idea how you wouldn't have noticed it from testing, it's REALLY noticeable, especially if you try yo harpoon stuff

Ya idk, I even had my partner look at it too and neither of us saw a difference

I can actually answer this, it is a buff that you can only take advantage of with the grape shot or the other charging cannon. Both will be able to charge up and consume the magazine faster hence potentially increasing your overall DPS.

OOOOH my god that makes so much sense thank you, we were using the double cannon at the time so that makes sense.
