My thoughts on what the game needs.
My friend and I have out about 20 hours into this game together and have had so much fun, but... as with all new games, There are some problems and suggestions that we've had so far. (In no particular order, just as i remember them.

1: The disconnecting- Disconnects happen not every run but about 1 in 6 of the times that we play together. A save mechanic, or some sort of grace period to reconnect would alleviate what seems to be the biggest complaint so far.

2: A road-map- Give us a sneak peak into what's upcoming and build hype for the game. If there is one its not easily accessible because I've looked.

3: Stability issues- when two players are using the grapeshot cannon and any projectile that shoots more than one projectile at a time (Lava crucible) the game lags terribly bad. And before anyone comments about my possible bad PC its not (Source: Trust me bro)

4: 4 player multiplayer- This seems like a no brainier the more players you can have in a game the more a group of friends can convince each other to buy and play the game. In the game's current state having a cannon at each cannon location would be busted easy. Maybe add multiple different ships that can allow for multiple different experiences. Perhaps there is a fool who has to play form a crows nest, or perhaps a new below deck is added to the current ship with underwater monsters and a different environment. I don't know hoe feasible this is but i Know I have friends that would like to play alongside my friend and I but are intimidated by the constant management and don't want to delve into the world with just one experienced player fearing judgement for not being able to keep up right at the beginning.

5: STATS- A rouge-like we really enjoy is called Ember Knights. At the end of each ember knights world (Like beating the kraken) you are shown stats of who performed well at certain attributes of the game. Examples of this would be after beating the kraken the two fools are given rewards (These rewards don't necessarily have to be physical in game rewards just participation trophies that mean nothing) Deflector- Player who deflected the most enemy attacks. Repairman- Fixed the most holes. Fireman- Player put out the most fires. Powerhouse- Player dealt the most damage. Harpoonman- Player shot the most harpoons. Along with showing these trophies let me see the exact stats of both players. Let me see how much more damage I'm doing than my friend or vise versa so there is some level of competitiveness.

6: Difficulty- We understand the game now and win every run that we are not disconnected from. Let me make the game harder for myself with something other than curses. Grapeshot is busted and there is no reason to use anything else lmao ESPECIALLY THE AUTOMATED CANNON THAT ♥♥♥♥ SUCKS

7: Multiplayer curses- Both players are affected by the curse so why are both players not rewarded with an artifact? the only way to both get the artifact is if coincidentally you pick it up at the exact same time in which case it will duplicate.

This was long winded but I hope it hits the eyes of the development team, I love the game and plan on playing more, but what makes rogue-likes stay alive is the constant changing and adding of items and combos that make the game much more interesting. My favorite build so far has been tripoon with double harpoon damage while playing the fool with the harpoon perk.

Just wanted to add my comment here that after 22 hours of grokking tf out of this game I managed to 100% it. I was deeply hoping that if I unlocked everything in the game then something would happen, like a new boss. I was disappointed but not surprised. As you can tell I love playing this game, it's fun to listen to a podcast in the background while you play solo with two auto turrets racking out enemies lol. The dream would be to have
1: an artificat that lets you redo the run with your previous equipment. Just once like a rerun.
2: Have the last boss take 5 levels to get too. I will note that i enjoyed quickly grinding the last boss over and over to get tendrils.
and thats pretty much it. Would love to see more content in general :)
