I WANT TO PLAY A GAME!

I've made it past the whole darkness (lava) biom solo repeling the storm (Angus + double barrel + auto-cannon and early freezing waves bought on the beach made it easy-peasy) but still without any challenges applied. I was wondering during the run if Gill wouldn't be better pick - another cargo spot for tendrils available as she doesn't necessarily need the ammo (of course if harpoon hits land properly). Of course stacking all the chests with tendrils after each boss is a must have - later on carefully opened one after another to maximize the usage. Unexpectedly, halfway through darkness biom randomly 2-3 more tendrils dropped so I had even more than necessary.

My madness and frustration reach high now as I've found out the secret that... you can not really repel the last 3 storm sectors (far right, from which the storm starts to expand). Neither I was able to do so in any of the previous bioms - was the sneak-peak in one of the DLC announcement materials troll straight-forward? :)

"Once The Beacon is loaded with a Tendril, you'll have a new option available on the map when you are near the storm. It will allow you to consume the loaded Tendril in order to repel the surrounding storm! Very useful to reach those far islands that would have otherwise not been accessible. With this item you can repel ANY type of storm... I wonder what it does in the last sector…"

Or maybe activating last, 15th level of the lantern challenges, would allow me to reveal the source of the storm?

FYI - no, having the great lantern activated on level 15th AND trying to repel the storm in first 3 spaces doesn't work either (at least in first biom).

Either it's available in darkness biom... or it's just a hoax :D

Ahh, navigating the darkness all the way through still felt amazing!! All the tendrils packed up nicely, and exactly so, that bought the frozen waves from the beach.

Also found out, that when playing with a friend the golden bullets really shine the brightest.
