Solo Play - Yay or Nay?

I do not own this game. I know solo play is possible, but is solo play enjoyable?

There is, but enjoyable only till some light level. After you start getting waves of enemies that can crit, you are forced to play auto cannon with split shot (otherwise you just die trying to shoot your gun) or play duo. Playing duo is like easy mode, but solo becomes frustrating after a certain difficulty (second to last for me). But if you are decent at games and are not looking to full completion you will have like 20h of fun at least solo

Edit: today beat the 15th brightness level (finished the game) solo, just like any rogue like game, its a lottery so have fun
