This demo is an older version of Black Skylands, both in terms of gameplay and story. The story has been changed in the EA release, in Origins it remains in its old form. Therefore, Origins offers an "alternate story", so to speak.
Sorry for bumping this old thread, but may I ask you a question?
Since this old version offers an "alternate story" of sorts (before changes were made), and can no longer be installed, is there any chance you can please consider adding this to library of owners of Black Skylands, or at least restore the ability to install this older version (maybe updating the name to "prototype", "beta", or something similar, to avoid confusion with the current demo)?
I never got to try it, and it's always nice to get to play/experience "what could have been" versions.
Since tinyBuild is no stranger to providing "work in progress" versions to download (for example, all the old alphas available for Hello Neighbor), I'm hoping you will consider finding a way to allow those who wish to try this older version a way to do so.
thanks!
Unfortunately, I can't.
Black Skylands: Origins has a Steam page, but no install button, with only a note saying that the game was removed at the request of the publisher.
Those who played/added this earlier version to their library before this removal can continue to play it, but those who never did can't, which is my case.
If you could please consider restoring access to this earlier version, it would be great.
It's a nice curiosity for those who enjoy the game, and would like to see what changed.
thanks ;)
