Anyway, I am curious why you made no adjustments to your early access description. Surely you must have looked at your product page at some point between then and now, and you definitely knew you put its release as "no later than Fall of 2022". It seems weird to say you'll complete the game in 2022, never update your page, then remove it in 2024. Especially when in reality, it appears you both started and stopped development in 2020. Given the circumstances, making it free to play is the only sensible thing to do. And also is the only actual way the game would be preserved.
You are confusing museum and archive. Most museum have archives and can only display a fraction of what they own, and will also frequently exhibit pieces from private collections. Many archives centres, like for cinema, were built from private collections assembled together and this can take many many years before projects like this are organized. So meanwhile, yes private preservation is essential. In cinema, most of the old movies were preserved by owners of theatres who preferred to buy the films instead of renting them, or just rich fans of cinema, but not from the production companies.
