I have never bought battle pass in any game.
And when I see a game with additional stuff locked out at full AAA price that just puts me off.
I will wait when this game goes on 60-70% discount.
With a max pop of only 4000 and an online only game that needs players for sustainability, that won't take long.
Seen this happen may times, either the game shuts down or goes on discount.
but anyways company will always want to make more money from games, as i see it id much rather see a battlepass where you actually see what your paying for then payed loot boxes
There are plenty of games that don't use battlepasses, and others that don't monetize them such as DRG. Otherwise the ones that do are frequently referenced to the ever continuing decline of quality multiplayer games and mmo's.
It's one of the most mindless ridiculously badly made shooters I've ever played. Of course they want full price and a battlepass on top of it.
I think it is happening now.
A lot of of AAA games have flopped this year while a few indie games have seen success.
People are get tired of paying £50 for half a game.
I picked up a thought... If Gamers stop becoming being introverts for A month and go stand out in the city streets with Crafted or written signs and warn all the part time gamer (including being A Full Time mother/father) about these Current state of Games including FUTURE ones that will Possibly never RETURN to the old ways how games used to be.
Best thought I can think of...
People could put all the research onto a website (got to create one of cause) or Reddit (if that's their only choice) and create a QR Code for people to find their way to the SITE with all the research gathered up along with how Video Games will no longer be the same ever again.
