I saw people say the gameplay was fine, but repetitive and slow to open up. The ingame monetization model was enough to put people off, plus the higher base cost for a game with a cash shop.
The game just doesn't bring enough value for it's price point, and there are plenty of alternative third person coop shooters that don't have cash shop and/or deliver far for more unique content for a better price.
Also the moments of XP at its most gain is when you trigger a event that would cause both teams to fight together.
Savage Gauntlet is like the sad attempt to try and make it worth it, but its not. barely get much in results and gain than doing the regular fighting.
That being said, it's a perfect game for game pass which is exactly how it feels it was intended to be. A game pass specific game with a short play time yet shows off what can be done. The character customization is fun to play around with, but the constant forced replaying of maps destroys most of that fun. Almost like they were skirting around what they could actually do with it in order not to step on the dino crisis franchise as to not get into any lawsuits.
It's not just the youtubers or whoever who says the game is bad that killed it. You can see on the player charts for steam that the count correlates with most games that have low replay ability. Meaning you can get everything this game has to offer with relatively short amount of play through after the story is finished. And really, finishing the story is a slog fest itself once it starts forcing you to play through stages you've already been through multiple times.
I just hit 32 hours and I got the achievo to hit all 10 classes to level 10, and clearly to unlock everything you need to get them all to 20, plus playing the extra classes, like damn. there's plenty of game here. I don't think it's emphasized enough how fun killing the dinos are, I'm easily seeing 70+ hours here just to unlock everything. Seems worth it to me.
Funny part is, this game "mimics" those overpriced live-service games. Yet those DLC's you see on Steam store is the only additional purchases it has. U can't buy anything else in-game.
its the Holy-Trinity(Tank/Healer/DPS)
I am a big fan of Holy-Trinity mechanics. And sadly, I feel like its not that common to have Holy-Trinity in games that are not MMORPGs (I do like MMO's but I like other genres too yaknow)
i paid full price on battleborn, epic of a game, purchased it twice on pc n ps4, it went f2p then died. i dont mind going solo on these games bcuz theyre so polished
Pointblank wave shooter with practically no depth or variation. No real ability to change loadout to any degree and practically the entire lvl system revolves around adding a small% bonus to 1 of your 3 attack options.
Anthem had more depth. Anthem.
