lost planet 2 Still one of my fav games.
This happens a lot. Thanks sega...
it's competing with the likes of EDF and Warframe. And it's got no edge against both. Not to mention it's expensive for such mid content.
It's not competing with either and plays like neither.
they're horde shooters at a base level. Problem this one has is it's subpar content for it's asking price. Compare that to the other two in which one is cheaper and the other is free.
Warframe is a horde shooter, space battling, adventure game mmo with tons of the extracurricular activities that involves.
While EDF is exclusively a co-op 'horde shooter' with no pvp element to speak of besides the fun you can have with your friends involving friendly fire.
Exoprimal is a race with variable of objectives and a pvpve finale.
They're not even remotely the same in core gameplay loop and this similarity only works if you've played none of the games you're listing.
And that's it. for 80 dollarydoos, and that's all you get...
In the long run of things, it comes down to "Was it worth it?" if they don't get sales, it isn't worth it. If they get bad reviews, it wasn't worth it in which case it will be a notch on the reputation of capcom and people will go "Remember they made this!" when someone sees a new game from them. Had they rebooted lost planet 2 with a remake, it would of sold like hot cakes AND given you the same feeling this game does, but they didn't. LP2 was one of their best action shooters, then they made 3 and stopped lol.
Capcom is perfectly allowed to make a game with mechs and dinos and it NOT be Dino Crisis or Lost Planet.
