So for now if you intend to group up, make sure you play with you friends om that platform. Until they add the ability to add cross-parties. If they do.
What does that mean? People of different platforms can't group up at all unless friends? Or just not form pre-made parties but I can still end up on mixed teams via lobby browser or quickplay?
steam api by default doesnt get friends from other networks as thats something the developer would have to implement which can be bureaucratic since they need to get xbox and playstation to officially sign off on things.
if any of the 3 platforms get a big enough user base they'll probably add this feature since it supports any platform with lower playerbase and keeps the game alive
You're right with the last one. You can play with people from other platforms randomly in matchmaking, but you can't invite them to join your party. To be in a party you all have to be on the same platform.
