That's not MVP.
Then what is the metric for MVP? I was on the losing team last night with 16000 more points than the person who got MVP. If it was only score based I should have gotten it, but I didn't.
Keep in mind that there are some final objectives where the two teams pair up to complete an objective and both teams can earn a win.
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that was the PVE mode? If yes, there's a timer at the end, if the ''losing team'' manages to finish the objective before the timer runs out, both teams win. Then there might be someone else, with a better score, from a ''losing team'' (read 2nd winning team).
EDIT: not talking about the 10players coop
In PvE final missions, MVP is the highest points player of the team that finishes first, regardless if both teams finished.
(MVP player was 90k, our team finished 2nd and our highest player was 100k, )
10 players Boss fights, didn't pay attention unfortunately. (don't blame me, the fight was awesome).
EDIT: The MVP (10 payer boss) is the highest points player overall.
Playing Starship Troopers 16 pve I'd rather have 10v Dino's and not 5vE vs 5vE and a scrum at the end.
you weren't the most valuable player if your team didn't win, to be fair. This is completely normal, even in IRL sports the MVP is always some one on the winning team, even if another player played well individually... After all, it's a team game.
I like to point to LeBron not winning Finals MVP in 2015 due solely to being on the losing team. He was far and away the best player on the court at any given time and at one point was leading or competitive in every single notable stat category, yet still the award went to the guy on the other team. A lot of people point to that year as definitive proof that the MVP award is a winner's only award.
