if they're saying jack is an unreliable narrator regarding siren stuff... then they're saying angel is an unreliable narrator too... since angel had helped jack so much with her siren tech hacker power to scour EVERY info about siren and vaults (and other typical cloak and dagger intel) across the 6 galaxies, maybe to cure or at least reduce the risk of angel's siren power going FUBAR like when she accidentally killed jack's wife.

for me both jack and angel are the most reliable info gatherer regarding siren and vault stuff. and tannis too since she's worked on vault+siren lore in pandora after dahl ditched her and her fellow dahl workers before b1.

want the MOST reliable narrator for siren+vault lore??? remember the eridian watcher from b1.5??? remember how the watcher warns lilith and the crimson raiders to stop bickering and gather as much vault hunters to prepare for a great war???

oh yeah, b3 writers chose to disband b2 hunters, poof away athena, and retcon the watcher instead as a small content padder in ava's mini addon quest mysteriouslier in which its just b3 hunters and ava exploring more b3 brand siren lore revolving around ava...

that means the most unreliable narrator in this case is the entire b3 story... jack, angel and tannis are arguably still the most reliable siren vault lore experts... but jack and angel had died, and tannis get dragged into b3 writing shenanigans unwillingly just like how she didn't want to be the one leading the quick makeshift ''''funeral'''' speech for b3 maya...

maybe in b4 they'll make ava be the 'most reliable' siren lore narrator just to spite classic borderlands games' lore legacy again...

Likely just coincidence

holo devs cant afford to ignore the majority of their paying customers, very few actually liked that character, it doesn't matter what your reason is, most disliked her enough they rather kill her off or just not have her in the story.

Maybe we will be lucky and Ava will not have a part in this game, I dont want her as a npc I have to take orders from, was annoying enough when lilith was constantly telling you to report too the bridge when she could just tell you where to go from anywhere.
