Borderlands 4

Borderlands 4

I think i know why they look so basic
Probably the vh's will be a lot more customizable, at 1:15 in the trailer you can see the buff mech viking fella, and at 1:19 you can see him in a suit of green armor. I suspect they will make the Vault Hunters a lot more customizable and stuff

Nope sorry look more closely. Focus on where the green back meets the grey front. His armored portion is very reminiscent of Doom Guy. Same look different angle. It doesn't mean your idea is wrong, but it does mean the trailer doesn't show it.

i'd rather they just give us an additional feature of custom vault hunter character creation like in ttwl but much more improved so that we can choose to play as the 4 unique b4 hunters or just make our own vault hunters with lots of customizable options in both cosmetic and skill trees. this way players who wish to play the classic vault hunters can somewhat feel satisfied.

Looking over the trailer again the 3 figures at 1:29 might be the vault hunters in different skins, but other then the last one which is a big if those aren't that different then what we have in borderlands 3

The character at 1:29 is Zane from Borderlands 3. The next character (1:31) can't just be a different skin because our new big vault hunter has a robot arm and this guy doesn't. I think the new vault hunters are only shown in their default skins, which are deliberately bland, in this trailer. I hope OP is right in that it means they will be more customizable like Wonderlands characters.

id rather they dont id like to actually have my character interact with the story than ttwl

^i'm sure gbx could have set up some voiced story quest dialogue lines for personality templates of custom characters.

if they would bother improve the overall custom character design features from ttwl.

also... because gbx have hired the remnants of volition crew who designed saints row games... they could have tried importing the design of custom character features in saints row games into b4...

remember how our boss playa character in saints row234 reboot have so many voiced dialogue interaction with those games' stories for each custom character personality templates they offered?
