This is where we as players really need solid info. They may be holding out until PAX East next month, but some tidbits before then would be nice.
As for story, writing, and character development...could go either way. A further dumpster fire like BL3 or a course correction trying to improve. The fate of the series lies heavily with BL4.
Ok, at face value that is fair as we each have our own opinion. However would you like to elaborate on that point? Or did you just want to post a "I disagree" statement as you are well known to dislike all comments that take issue with BL3 and the direction from it (such as BL4's limited portrayal of the new Vault Hunters).
So can you explain the "why"? That might facilitate discussion. If not, well thanks for sharing but you finding them cool doesn't change anything.
you need to look at them for a good while to even guess what they might do. I'm personally hoping they have skins like what they did at the end of bl3 so you can change their appearance fully and I hope that a few of them aren't behind a paywall and you can at least earn some of them.
I do agree with what some people are saying that they look like NPCs that would give you side quests in previous games. let's just hope their abilities make up for how bland play look
the curly haired one with glasses gives me Velma flashbacks.
"The Avengers assemble" means nothing if you don't know the characters individually.
BL trailers could give the characters some sense of identity before and didn't need YouTubers scouring for months trying to pick out everything for scraps, the hype was already there.
For example: Siren has been there since BL1 and was BL1's exotic, while ever since there's been an exotic or non-human. Zer0, Claptrap, FL4K, but none for this group.
Yes that is what the thread is about. If this was your first post in the forums then a more positive interested reply may have been warranted. But you have a history of only trying to go into detail about why everyone is wrong with disliking BL3 and the direction that may be leading into BL4.
So if you want to facilitate discussion, then WHY do you find them cool? What stands out to you as a good thing? Go into detail about what you find positive in them. Sure you'll deal with some disagreements, but at least it won't come off as "this is my opinion, follow it and obey" taking your post history into account.
A thread wanting to discuss the issues with the new VH's apparent design, your commenting "They look cool to me" is no better than someone jumping into your thread and just saying "X is horrible". That sounds more like voting or just jumping into a thread to troll. But if you elaborate, on the good or bad, then there is something to discuss.
I don't find the VH's cool, but I don't find them bad either. I find them blandly portrayed being the issue. Once info comes out on their personalities, backstory, theme, and individual showcasing, instead of side by side acting the same then I feel everyone can make more personal opinions on them. Equality and balance doesn't mean making them all seem the same, but that each are valued with their own individual quirks. So VHs may not be bad, but their spotlight was as didn't highlight them as individuals.
I dont see it happening, it's a problem a ton of games have, even my favorite series mass effect.
~Man With Man Things
In the pre sequel it was the other way around. I loved Athena, I loved Claptrap, I loved Handsome Jack and I also liked Nisha. Too bad I didn't really like the game as a whole so I didn't really play either of them as much as my out of necessity choice in the main games.
For 4 I can imagine playing as the Asian siren, the black nerdy girl or the Arab pretty boy. So that's three out of four that will give me a hard time picking someone. I just hope the game does not do too much whip latching, parcouring and underwater floating around. The main thing I hate about Pre is the zero gravity zones and the constant searching for O2 cannisters.
