After what happened with Borderlands 3...

I bought all the borderlands games/packages

Borderlands 2 is one of my favourite games of all time

I got completely blindsided by what Borderlands 3 was turned into and i felt completely burnt for having bought that game

I won't be pre-ordering or buying Borderlands 4 or any other Borderlands games anymore due to Borderlands 3

I hope you change course and return to your roots (Borderlands 2 style), but if the movie is anything to go by, it's not looking confident...

People feel like the BL3 story was bad (and it's true, it was horrendous), but if you think that devs learned anything, I invite you to check out the new Tales of the Borderlands on youtube. I am 99% sure that the same people will write the story for BL4. Also, watch them do "magic" garbage and revive Maya because they got so much backlash for what they did to her in BL3. This game is legit DOA rn, even more so after that awful movie they released recently. But hey, miracles can sometimes happen, so maybe Gearbox will do something good for once.

after clock coutless hours in Borderlands 1 and 2.

I dont have very high hopes, i don't think BL4 will worth the 2800$ of DLCs that will release the first year.

i just want this one to not be abandoned and get proper fixes (borderlands 3 feels abandoned, when it needs performance fixes and at least to be looked at) - i haven't touched a borderlands game in years by now i think, because they aren't updated, especially borderlands 3, i have near constant stuttering, have tried alot...i9-13900h rtx 4070 laptop, and it actually runs better on steam deck, no stuttering. to be fair, the stuttering i experienced was on an I7-10750h cpu with rtx 3060 card (laptop as well), even when i tried it on my new laptop the performance wasn't the best. i will not buy BL4 unless i know that it will go a better direction and have improvements (i believe it will)

I'm not all the hyped for B4. I was heavily turned off by B3, never did end up buying it. My Steam Sale Wait-and-See rule helped me dodge a bullet on that one. Still enjoy original Borderlands, and really need to finish B2 with some of the other characters.

It is REALLY obvious the good writers left between 2 and 3. It's a shame too because 3 is the strongest gameplay wise, but the story is so awful and shoved in your face.

Written by a completely different team than the one who wrote BL3 and actually, aren't even working together anymore since the studio disbanded.
