Borderlands was good for many. But everyone likes something different. So it was never good for you. But to regret just $10 for the first 2 games seems a bit extreme. Unless you don't like shooters at all, I would think you would get at least that much value out of them.
BL1 - Ok, just a bit dry.
BL2 - Greatly enjoyed. Took the concept of the first and improved pretty much everywhere it needed to.
BL TPS - Good, but fell short a bit. More of a big DLC to BL2 in the end. Understandable content from the Australian team could feel out of place for some.
BL3 - Gameplay good and had fun with the playable characters. But overall writing, development of staple and new NPCs, and how they executed certain concepts and themes in the game was done horrible. The DLCs did mostly better (though they destroyed Gaige's character) but not enough to make up for where they went wrong.
Sad part is that I largely enjoyed the character selection we got this time around, definitely more so than BL3. Claptrap's randomness and change in mechanics was neat.
Though it does feel a bit weird with all the coop interactive skills everyone seemed to have like claptrap's high five, auralia's contract, and w/e it was jack did.
I think its just I was waiting for that moment for everything to come together and the gameplay and story to peak and it just never did. Like in BL2 ♥♥♥♥ got real once sanctuary took flight and that's when it felt like the story really picked up.
in TPS the closest you get is when Jack starts killing off everyone but it didn't really escalate from there (and its not like he was wrong at any point for how he acted, constantly getting stabbed in the back at every turn)
Gameplay was alright, but the characters were largely trash. Siren was a snooze and Fl4k's kit was just utter trash (which is a shame because design-wise I love his look and his voicelines and lore). The only characters that even remotely playable are Zane and Moze (Latter of which lives and dies with nuke bear in OP10)
Its story was definitely a MASSIVE improvement over BL3 and ill admit that at points it got up there with BL2 like the portion with penn and teller. But it still largely fell flat comparatively to BL2.
I didn't bother with any of the DLCs so I don't know how they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up Gaige and at this point I'd rather stay uninformed and just remember her from the valentine's day headhunter dlc from BL2.
We'll see what happens with 4. Chances are that the game-play will be the same as 3 with an even worse story. I'm not very hopeful.
I think the issue is more that people are doing a mass spam that is getting them locked. Flooding the forum with copy/paste is not constructive and is lock/ban worthy as it is just spam at this point.
The issue is that all of this started happening because they banned someone for literally just saying that they weren't gonna buy it while hoping that everyone else enjoys it
they somewhat stopped spamming and gathered in my post and then all of the posts started getting merged. hmmmm?
I suspect there is more to it than that. If the poster was harassing someone or was spamming replies that with other context confirmed as sarcastic, rude or the like, then it would make it appropriate. However if someone locked them out for the wrong reason, or just accidental (wrong post or just not paying enough attention), then it needs to be addressed.
But this spam riot is nothing good. Just people making fools of themselves.
Hesh bro Don't take this [REDACTED] seriously. and this wasn't a spam until someone got banned for saying his opinion.
the original ban wasn't for spam, which is the real issue
