Borderlands 4

Borderlands 4

Siren design ?
I've been thinking a lot about Borderlands 3 and the upcoming Borderlands 4, and there's something on my mind that I just can't shake off. What's up with the Sirens, man? Remember Lilith, Maya? They had this charm, this allure that made them stand out, not just in terms of power but in beauty and personality.

Now, let's get real - Amara in Borderlands 3? She's cool, no doubt. She's got this tough-as-nails vibe, but I gotta say, the spark just isn't there for me. Her look, while unique, doesn't hit the same notes of mystery and beauty that the previous Sirens did. It's like Gearbox decided to go in a completely different direction with the design, and it just feels... off.

And if we're talking about Borderlands 4, from what I've seen, it looks like they're doubling down on this new aesthetic. It's not about race or anything like that; it's just that the new Sirens seem to lack the same level of visual appeal. They're more rugged, more battle-hardened, which is great for a character's backstory but not so much for that iconic Siren allure we all loved......

amara feels too much like pandering to indian culture and rough muscled woman trope. lilith and maya have their own unique quirks while not being affiliated with culture pandering.

maybe b4 siren would be like amara but feels more like a bouncer from cyberpunk 2077 or something

BL1 was influenced by CodeHunters, Mad Max: Roadwarrior, and the idea of the "American Old West" frontier. I often liken it to Treasure of the Sierra Madre. A bunch of ne'er-do-wells, down-on-their-luck, looking for a big score.

Lilith (as well as Mordeci, Roland, and Brick) all fit the visual aesthetic. They're wearing grungy Mad Max-ish frontier garb.

BL2 features the rise of Hyperion, and there's a more polished aesthetic introduced. Maya ... looks a bit more like a superhero with her combat suit (which basically looks like a wetsuit).

Amara looks like exactly what she's supposed to be: A bare-knuckles street fighter (The Tiger of Patali). Her (default) garb is a bit more urban, but it's still got a grungy, rough-and-ready look. (Amara's outfit is strongly reminiscent of Salvador's, both of them have a grungy "street" look to them).

The Siren for BL4 ... mmm ... looks a bit too much like she's going clubbing rather than going to a frontier world to hunt Vaults in my opinion.

Well hopefully she has customization that makes her less Bland looking, something that makes her more stylish hopefully.
Tannis is not hot...

Cosmetics may be the only way to hide the ugliness of these characters.

going with what we've seen so far her abilities might be different to what we got before.
like we saw her summon a purple energy version of herself with a big energy scythe. I think she might be our New summoner Class like gauge or Jack's body double. it's also possible the siren might not be the Elemental class this time.

While not hot like lilith and maya, she has that "give me kidney digs while you smash me" vibe. I'd give it a whirl
