Though with elements, don't have Maliwan stuck on having to charge so much.
Yeah I never liked the charge mechanic for them.
Do hope that the element heavy character is the Soldier this time around though. With the Siren being element-less so to say
I dont think slag will return however.
also dont forget the element that killed bloodwing, EXPLOOOOOOOOOSIVE
its an instant/gradual DoT damage that retcons the target's existence and relevance in the borderlands game's 6 galaxies.
players will never know the damage visual effect of retconium element. because of its unique nature that couldn't be accurately comprehended by human minds.
the first time retconium enters the scene was when the eridian watcher warns the crimson raiders to stop bickering and gather+train as much vault hunters they can to prepare for a great war.
little did everyone knew that right after the watcher deliver the warning, a mysterious creature suddenly enters the scene and freeze the timespace around it, and it suddenly lunges at the watcher. the watcher couldn't foresee this ever happens in all its time using its eridian space magic premonition, and was almost instantly annihilated from the pure explosion of retconium damage delivered by the creature, who somehow mysteriously disappears right after the attack... as if it got affected by its own retconium damage...
the watcher knew the irreversible damage to the main timeline has been done... the crimson raiders suddenly forget the watcher's existence at all as if the watcher is completely erased from their minds and senses... even athena, the vault hunter positioned too close to the watcher has been affected by the retconium attacks too, which cause the crimson raiders to almost fully disregard athena's presence in the scene, while athena confusingly meanders off from the scene out to who knows where...
then suddenly an underground dahl rogue army division who somehow survive jack's relentless earthquake spam digging of pandora in search of the warrior vault ambushed and drive off the crimson raiders, until it was defeated but also scatter the vault key pieces throughout pandora to hamper the crimson raiders' quest to hunt other vaults in the 6 galaxies, while also slowly eroding the bonds between the crimson raiders and their vault hunters through time and various dumb decisions that led them farther and farther from being a united force...
the watcher, in a last desperate attempt to survive and keep to its original mission of helping the vault hunters prepare the 6 galaxies against the ominous incoming great war, scatter itself forward in the spacetime continuum, only to find itself stuck in a timeline of event known as mysteriously mysteriouslier revolving around an unreliable siren figure in the doomed timeline known as ava...
the watcher know then and there that it had failed its original mission... the timeline is doomed... the vault hunters aren't uniting... the crimson raiders' bonds are also heavily disrupted too by the retconium creature's attack... the 6 galaxies' inhabitants are busy doing their own typical human conflicts while naively plunder and abuse many vault artifacts for their greedy ends... if the mysterious retconium creature can easily destroy the eridian's plan like that... what hope does the 6 galaxies have against such forces beyond their comprehension?
and so the eridian watcher despaired as it is stuck in the mysteriously mysteriouslier timeline watching the 6 galaxies doom itself through a slow whimpering death...
where's a retconium gun when you need one when you meet ava, tyreen and troy...
Yeah, Maliwan was one of my favorite manufacturers in BL2 and BL:TPS, and I found most Maliwan guns unusable in BL3.
Yes, but it's not quite the same as it was in BL:TPS. It's still better than Slag, but my recollection is that the BL:TPS version felt ... more intuitive.
