Writing
I'll consider this as long as you fired every single person responsible for the writing in BL3

What are "my kind"?

I agree, BL3 gameplay was an improvement, but the writing was all really bad. No one talks as much about BL3 because of that.

Nope, Anthony Burch wasn’t on it.
And yes, the guy’s had his issues in the past, but he was one of the reasons 2 has its legendary status.

Who do you think wrote the box office bomb movie? Clearly they kept the writers from the overwhelmingly bad BL3 for the movie. You know those same people are working on BL4 and the writings just going to be as bad as BL3 if not worse.

You can take 5 seconds to look on IMDB and prove yourself wrong

The writing credits were for two people:

Eli Roth and Joe Crombie

Neither of whom were involved with BL3. In fact, Joe Crombie is most likely a pseudonym for Craig Mazin, a writer from Last of Us, who was dissatisfied with the direction Roth was taking with the movie and used a fake name for his credits. This is not an uncommon practice in Hollywood.

Mazin denies this, but like, it's known that he was participating early on, and "Joe Crombie" only has 1 writing credit: the Borderlands movie

Nope. Sam Winkler, the narrative director for BL3, is doing BL4 as well. Expect the same cringe.

Then this has no chance to be any good.

I'm worried about the writting too. How did you know that the writers of Borderlands 3 where fired ?

Yea like they had a good story for bl3, but didn't use it, in the directors cut Ava is alot more likeable and people who payed attention saw that they were setting up for troy to backstab tyreen.

They had some concept hooks that didn't go anywhere.

Troy could have back-stabbed Tyreen and now we are going through against the two while secretly helping the other (enemy of my enemy) until it hits the fan. The find out moment could have been impactful, perhaps even more so if Tyreen knew all along and was pulling Troy's strings. Or the double fake where they both set us up.

I was expecting at the end to have the final boss be Troy and Tyreen. Either both of them powered up, mishmashed fusion, or a singular looking being with two minds. Their bickering or Troy trying to come into his own while big sis tries to retain control would have been an interesting dynamic, including changing powers and attack patters. Plus written well it could have been hilarious.

Ava was the protege rebel teenager type. But her transition moments of her placement in both the story and the group felt forced (shoehorning as the leader when you have veteran Vault Hunters), and the controversy surrounding Maya's death perhaps the writing was rushed. Perhaps the writing for that character did not receive the time deserved to really flesh her out. And they missed out with the Claptrap fan bit, thought that was going to be a smooth running gag in the background but fell short.
