VR is almost completely dead. It's wasted resources expecting a developer to invest the time and money into it.
Unless the tech get major advancements, or completely new innovation to make VR what we envision it to be, it likely will go the way of 3D TV.
♥♥♥♥♥♥ hwut? (furiously going to go look this up now)
There a many who would say the same about regular flat-screen gaming, and just the same as VR, you have to get used to it. Now obviously VR is slightly more intense and nausea-inducing, but all that means is that you have to expose yourself to it slightly longer.
If I had a penny...
Practice and gradually you will feel ok playing, use a FAN or Air Conditioner (cool is better) blowing some wind to your face/body while playing, the wind makes your brain understand better that what you are seeing is not an Hallucination....and it will gradually get used to.
Start with short intervals of and moving slowly inside the game, if you start to feel dizzy close your eyes first and remove the headset... take a break of a few mins until you feel better and resume playing.
You will start gradually getting used to play for longer times until at some point you will be cured.
This happens also on normal 2D FPS on monitors to some people. But VR is a complete replacement of reality and the brain needs to understand this "new reality" around you.
Also a similar effect is caused on BOATS as your brain and your inner ear can get dizzy of the floating movements.
VR died too many times and it is still much more alive now than ever.
Even if some players are afraid of VR, the fact that it can replace the entire world around you with the GAME WORLD is fantastic.
For example this effect in SIMULATIONS is as today the closest to the real thing.
And the fact that you can have 1:1 real life movements inside the game expands gaming in new ways that were not feasible before.
For FPS shooters is incredible and improves the realism of actually shooting a weapon from your hands, instead of moving a mouse pointer in a 2D screen to "aim"
Finished Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 2 VR and the VR version is so awesome.
Imagine playing with the monsters being completely around you in life-size scale.... it is an incredible experience!!
