Massive CPU/Video Card Use?

I started the game for the first time in a few months, having enjoyed it before, to take a look at the new DLC. But the game made my system run extremely hot, with fans getting to 100% within a minute or two. I can't figure out why; it didn't do this before, and I have a 3080, an 8 core processor and 64GB of RAM. I'm stumped. I suspect it was the CPU.

I noticed that the game was running extremely quickly even after I had slowed down everything I could. I'm not sure what to make of this. Any thoughts?

In which scenario did you encounter this problem?

First tutorial. I don't recall it happening in August or so when I first played. It was the cpu cooler that was going nuts; not sure if the video card did too.
