Cannot play suddenly. Desperate for help. Tried everything
Two days ago, I had a virtual appointment, so I played a few rounds of Gwent to kill time. When I got the call for my appointment, I used task manager to close Gwent in the middle of a match. This was apparently a HUGE mistake, because I haven't been able to play since doing that.

Now, whenever I launch the game, it shows the following message:
"Could not connect to Gwent servers. Please check your internet connection and try again"
(When launching on gog, it shows the same message)

Here's everything I've tried:
- Verifying Cache
- Reinstalling the game on Steam
- Installing the game on gog
- Installing on a different drive
- Restarting PC
- Making sure steam overlay is enabled
- Making sure gog overlay is enabled
- Changing my IP
- Changing dns server
- Forwarding Ports
- Restarting router
- Reinstalling gog
- Deleting appData files
- Allowing access through firewalls
- Installed on my brother's PC (Works fine for him)
- Tried replicating the issue by ending task mid match on his PC (Did not cause issues)

It seems that there's an authentication failure as soon as I open the game. I checked the client logs and this is what it shows:

09:52:43.456 [Error][1][Net] [GalaxyAuthenticator] GOG Auth fail! Reason: FAILURE_REASON_CONNECTION_FAILURE
09:52:43.472 [Warning][1][Service] [[WSFasade]] [GOG] LogInImpl.LogInFail due to FAILURE_REASON_CONNECTION_FAILURE
09:52:43.473 [Error][1][Net] [AppLoginState] - There was an error when logging in! FAILURE_REASON_CONNECTION_FAILURE
09:52:43.473 [Error][1][Client] [RedLog] GoBackToServicesCheck Error login_failed_title,login_failed_desc

I've also noticed that when I press shift + tab to open the overlay in the gog version, it just shows the following:

Error:
code: authentication_error
exception: a Token was not found in the TokenStorage.
status: 403

Also, it's worth mentioning that when I first tried to reinstall gog, the installer says:
"Unable to connect to GOG.com. Please check your internet connection"

I had to download the offline installer instead, which worked fine.

I've been playing Gwent daily for weeks with no issues until the moment I used task manager to close it

Anyway, the problem persists and I'm going crazy trying to solve it. Any ideas would be appreciated, but at this point, it feels hopeless.

I'm in the same boat. While I've not been able to figure out how to fix it on PC, I was able to get into the game on my android phone. Luckily all of your progress & stuff carries over to the mobile version. It's definitely more of a pain to play on mobile, though.

the same thing, above from the game via "alt f4" and I can't log in anymore, writes about the inability to connect to the servers

Its nothing you did. Its basically out for EVERY single user who uses Windows 7. Its just a coincidence that your trouble started the day you logged off weird. Reddit had a thread on it and the concensus was that everybody that could not connect to Gwent servers starting from June 4th and onwards had Windows 7. Gwent Devs popped into the thread and said they are aware of the problem and were trying to fix it, but that was 6 days ago or so...
