Can't invite friend to a match

This game is so broken - there is a friend in my friend list and there is a button in main menu to call him to battle or something. When I press it - nothing happens or I get an error in top right corner "Error sending message". My friend on the other end receives nothing. When he tries invite me to a match - the same stuff happens to him. How difficult could it be to implement simple feature like this?

Are you both using your GOG account names (as you appear in Gwent) and not your Steam names? You need to search for your friend using their Gwent name and then click the magnifying glass. If nothing comes up, double check you're spelling it correctly. If all goes well a box with your friend's Gwent name will appear below the search bar. Left click that box to open the invite menu.

Hi, yes, we are using our GOG names which are different from Steam names. We already are in each other friend list. My original post meant that I can't can't "challenge" my friend to a fight.

Well, if you're both already friends in Gwent and the invite to a game fails, that I'm afraid is a bug. You and your friend will have to exit and restart the game, It's the only way to clear this error and you may have to restart several times.
