Vypper??
Can someone explain this card. I understand what it says about going into MY graveyard at the end of the round. I think I understand: Each copy of this card will banish a lowest-cost card from my graveyard, the idea being for this card and any copies to be the only ones left in the graveyard.

But I have 2 questions I can't answer.

1. How did my opponent manage to give me 2 copies of this card in MY melee row? He also somehow copied them to his own melee row.

2. How are these cards summoned from my graveyard back into the game next round?

Well that's beyond silly. Three Leader uses in one round. This type of thing makes for a very frustrating and disappointing game at times.

So then, let me ask this. This is what the dude doing the video should have answered: How do you counter that move w all the vyppers? I get the card that moves them all to the deck instead and denies the opponent drawing them all out. But beyond that?

I'd have to kill them on my opponent's side somehow, yes? Not easy w 7-2s.

How do people deal w this or do you just not?

Vypper is not OP and meta by any means, its a meme deck used to bamboozle players who never faced off against them. Use Purify to avoid Coup. Heateave the Vypper on your side of the deck, if you play MO, consume it. Aim to win Round 1 at all costs. Watch them cry.

It is a sign of "bad design" similar to Viy. You either have the answers in-hand or you will lose. Its not a "game" in the sense that you and the other player are both playing against one another. It is a "psychic test" that you won or lost before the game started.

Its not bad design, its a meme card that does its job. Viy is playable in competitive, if you play Vypper, you will get chewed and spat out in no time. It has only one strategy and if you can fudge it, which most competent players do, its game over for the Vypper player. Like I said, its new players who find this very hard to deal with it. No one above the rank of 7 will look at Vypper as an issue.

I don't particularly have a problem w the card as such. It's more knowing exactly what is happening and having some idea(s) on how to counter. When you see one of these the first time or two, it's very confusing and frustrating. That's all.

With my NR Ciri Nova deck I've been using, I've found a couple ways of dealing with that big wormy thing (one card removes armour and boosts self w it; that was fun to use on it). I've looked close through my cards since your comments here and have noticed more that some of my damage cards say 'damage unit' and not 'damage enemy unit.' I never knew that subtle difference was in there.

The only prob I've had w the various youtubers is they show what cards to use and watch-me-do-it but they rarely offer ways to counter. So thank you for the suggestions. I've gotten better at enjoying the game by simply focusing on my deck and the fun the cards have when you try to make little combos work (favourite is probably Immortals + 2 Cursed Sorceresses) and not worry if opponent does something insane. Mostly I just want to understand what happens but it all goes so quickly. There's one where people drop disloyal units on my side and just keep playing cards that I haven't figured out, but I'll get there.

Thanks for the replies!!

cards that help with vipper would be.

any defender. simply lock the one they gave you behind a defender.
problem the vipper deck runs at least 3 purify, not a good solution.

any removal thas is powerful enough n able to kill stuff on your side.
scorch, heatwave, vilgefortz, glorius hunt, ... you get the idea

any consume unit. an instant consume like bargest or brewess at best.

xavier or squirrle banish it while still in graveyard

if you manage to remove that very first vipper you usually get an instant resign.^^

1 or 2 tall punisher then everything is smooth. Maybe you can purify your vypper after he applies the imposter. I played against vypper 7-8 times never lost. If I lose once I’ll send the most sincere GG because I love to watch youtubers playing that deck
