Opens in the wrong monitor
Gwent opens in just a random monitor each time. How can I choose which one it opens in? Because I have a vertical monitor and it's annoying as hell if it chooses to open in that one and have to alt-enter to go windowed and spam re-opening the game until it gets the right monitor. lol

Got this from the Gwent forums

Hi guys,

I have a little tips for you that can help while waiting for a fix.

When your game is launching on the wrong screen, press Windows key + Shift and press left or right arrow key to instant move your game window ;)

Hope that can make it easier for you

Read through this thread as well https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/game-not-starting-at-my-main-monitor.11003710/

Thank you but that doesn't work if it opens in the vertical monitor, it gets stuck at a weird resolution. Thanks for the link though, I'll read through it just in case I missed something.

this is weird, it should run in your primary monitor, so just set up one monitor as your primary monitor... i'm running a dual monitor, all my games run on a specific monitor that i set as the primary

correct, I have one as primary. All other games open in it except for this game.

Once the game is open, try pressing Alt+Enter [toggles full-screen mode] and drag to the correct monitor, press Alt+Enter again once on the correct monitor and then go to settings to change the resolution to 1920x1080.

You can try to exit the game and then opening again to see if the settings maintain.

Yeah, that's what I do. In fact, I mentioned that in the original post... Problem is when you open the game in a vertical monitor and try to move it to the main monitor, it won't adjust the resolution, nor can you change it in the game.
Not to mention, why would I want to have to go through all these hoops every single time I open the game? They need to fix it, at least at an option in the game to select the right monitor haha

It's still a problem over 3 years later.

This has always been a problem, the "support" from the Gwent team is "its your fault".

A possible workaround is:
- open the game
- switch to windowed mode
- drag it to the correct monitor
- close the game
- reopen the game
- change the resolution to the correct one for the target monitor
- close the game
- reopen the game
- it should now open where it is supposed to at the resolution you set.

Make sure to leave an honest review regarding the support you received from the actual Gwent team.

Only the WinKey+Shift+ArrowKey shortcut helped me.

hahaha, even the ThroneBreaker does this, also made by CDProject.
