Game crashes after opening a barrel

Right after opening a barrel and revealing the cards I got, when I try to go "back" or open next barrel, the screen driver fails and needs to reset. The game hangs.

Is there some way to avoid this, so I can open the barrels I have without whole computer almost crashing? I dont see how can I continue playing this if in the future the barrels I get are going to cause this problem.

The graphic card is old and no longer updates its driver, but the game used to work. How do I verify the integrity of the save files??

Update: that trick of setting "-force-feature-level-10-1" as launch option is solving the problem for me! Amazing, thanks! I can play this again!

After trying this i get visual glitches, mainly light-related which makes the game harder to play BUT it worked. Game no longer crashes for me. Thanks Sunny

P.S. I use it only temporary for opening barrels, but have no glitches at all.

Same Problem but start the game with
-force-feature-level-10-1
Seams to be the solution ;)
