Cannot Get Past Login Splash Screen, Just Spins

I load up the game and the GOG account login comes up. I login. The button just spins and spins. If I go login using same copy/paste into a regular web browser works fine on the same computer.

Can someone explain how to get past the login screen from within Steam?

Troubleshooting:

- I disabled and then re-enabled multi-factor authentication. Made no difference. Cannot get past the login screen.
- I set password to not have any special characters. Cannot get past login screen.
- I set password to be super short and tried super long. Cannot get past login screen.
- Tried copy paste as well as typing the credentials in by hand. Nothing works.

Everything works fine on GOG for desktop as well as multiple browsers hitting the GOG website fine. Tested that after each test step above.

Try removing Steam's overlay?

EDIT: Steam's overlay must be On to avoid the loading bug.

Upon removing the overlay, a Could Not Connect error is revealed. States it could not connect to the Gwent servers.

I get an infinite loading in the bottom right as the logon screen never comes up. The screen I am referring to is the on with Geralt on his horse.

Can confirm that it still does not work this morning. Login button just endlessly spins after entering credentials

If you remove steam's overlay you can't sign in to gog

I still cannot get in. (sigh)
