There are currently over 3,000 players in game, and that is just the people playing through steam. There are no doubt thousands more that are playing directly through ArenaNet. Everywhere you go in this game, you will find plenty of players. The game is still receiving content and updates, even after being out for over 10 years at this point. I don't know what your definition of a dead game is, but it is not the same as mine.
