not my cup of tea, but seems great for the people who like roleplaying weddings and stuff in-game :JoshuaLaugh:

Insanely cute but feel like it's quite expensive for how little use I could see there being for this... :Sadly:

Is it me or selling emotes is completely ridiculous?

Seems a bit ridiculous, yes, but I mean, there's no monthly subscription fee in the game, so if this helps them make money, I don't think anyone really minds having all that stuff in the shop, because at the end of the day it's completely optional and doesn't affect the gameplay at all, so if people want to buy this stuff to support them and the game, who cares.
And I know a lot of people who legit do actually like this sort of stuff so it's gonna make someone happy, I guess lol

Are they readying up things to finally have Kasmeer's and Marjory's wedding?

Most unlockable emotes are earned as gameplay rewards, and some are in the gemstore, so you can still get them with in-game gold thanks to the currency exchange. So at least you are not limited to cash only to get them.

That is the price for not having subscriptions.

not really, with NFTs being a thing it's safe to say that cosmetic microtransactions in live service games are more reasonable than that. Emotes or Skins have as much value as the fancy phone case you bought for aesthetic purposes, the stickers you put on your laptop lid, or that one time you craved for fast food even when you had ingredients in the fridge.

and tbf I've seen other games do worse.

Imagine gambling for dyes and you get them as single use items.
Let's say you need 6 matching dyes of a specific blue color to fill 6 color slots on your armor.
you have a 1 out of 50 chance per "loot box" to get the blue you need for a single slot.
you're gonna have to win those odds 6 times to get it on the armor you need....

Now imagine the level cap increases and now the current armor you gambled dyes for is useless.

buying or grinding in-game currency for an emote is aight imo.

Well at least this one is a choice buy..

I'd be pretty annoyed if I wasted a good reward getting this from a black lion chest or something.
So thanks for that I guess.
