I'm wondering where would I find the API Key?
I know the Arena Net has it's API Key that it hands out to any one making an account through them for the game, but where is the Steam's API Key?

I know what it is but can someone give me an example what they are used for ?

I have been having a problem where i cannot use my API key for any third party tools. Nothing seems to work. Most notably gw2efficency returns api key invalid.

Please advise. Thank you.

Mine suddenly stopped being recognised by either of the two I
mentioned while my other, non-steam API keys seem to work just fine.

First log into your GW2 account on the official site, go to your account management, find the API key section, generate a new one, copy+paste that API keyyou created into: https://gw2efficiency.com
/ I think on the top right of the site will have a spot to go to input API keys. This site can help you track everything you can think of, just need to link the API key you create from your official GW2

1. Open the official Guild Wars 2 API Key[account.arena.net] Management.
2. Click on the
"New Key" button.
3. Enter a name of your choice and check all permission checkboxes.
4. Copy your new API key. CTRL + C
5. Paste it here with CTRL + V
6. Click the "Save new API key" button.
