It's giving me pvp (more WvW Candy personally, but i do like spvp also) satisfaction more than any other mmo game currently, so did stick with it and now got over 2100 hours in after 1 year +. I do spend about 70% of all those gaming hours in WvW mode, just estimate, but i do also obviously have done all stories and just chill doing open world events, bounties, bosses, general memeing and dancing in DR the rest of time. :P
But i do like the PVE open world gaming GW2 has to offer, the events and meta events structure and how can just chill and play with friends and also "solo together" when feels like it is well done, also the ecosystem of game modes and resources/currencies/mats from them is very well done, the whole economy is actually AMAZINGLY good, compared to other mmo games i have played (SWTOR, ESO, FFXIV, Lost Ark (if it counts, it kinda does), New World, BDO etc) so i can say based on all those other games that if one is "mmo pvp enjoyer" then GW2 is actually top choice out of all those to be honest. Sort of almost "last bastion" of it.
I feel like GW2 is a "complete package", yes.. some other games do the instanced raiding better (since also more consistent schedule of getting instanced raiding content, due to bigger budget like in FFXIV), but everything else, pvp (wvw being big part of it for me) here is actually very well done and the reason i got addicted to this game and same for my friends for most part. For us the PVE is extra content to chill on and to farm stuff from. ^^
Honestly i hope all the new upcoming MMO games would like copy MOST systems from GW2 and just port them to UE5 and improve a few elements = perfect game. If GW2 would not have the pvp and WvW scene it has, i would have quit after just playing through story once. I need pvp as my "endgame" gaming loop with friends. :)
